Seeds of Harmony

In Seeds of Harmony, children ages 2-5 enjoy a lively class that consists of song sessions and games that introduce and develop the most important aspects of music, including…

  • Ear-training, through Fixed-do Solfege (Do Re Mi) and call and response singing. Fixed-do is known to help build perfect pitch (see the Director’s bio for more).

  • Intro to piano, ukulele, violin, drums and more! Students gain comfort with a variety of instruments and learn basics including how to care for instruments.

  • Introduction to notation, including dancing the meanings of 20 vocab words in our Rhythm Dance and writing notes, treble clefs, and other symbols.

  • Rhythm and coordination, Chanting and Dancing to Kodály Rhythms, Hand clapping activities, and Dexterity games for their fingers

  • Voice Development We help students find their chest and head voices and encourage them to sing and find the notes.

Seeds of Harmony builds a comprehensive foundation for a lifetime of competent and confident music-making. It’s also the best way to prepare for private lessons.

  • Our in-home classes are 45 minutes and are $30/class.

  • All students receive the At-Home Course too! The 30 weeks of lessons include original educational content like animations and puppets of our cute animal characters teaching about instruments and musical concepts in a slow, child-friendly way. There are also Coloring sheets, Guided instrument exploration audio lessons, Solfege Passive Learning ™️ Audio, Solfege Singing, Games, and Parent Coaching!
